The good folks at LifeHacker have spent their fair share of time with web browsers and occasionally they do some in-depth testing on their speed and performance. The latest tests are slightly concerning for several reasons. I was surprised, for example, that Chrome didn’t win the CSS loading trophy:
Opera not only defeated both Chrome 10 Stable and Chrome 11 Dev Version in the above test but also in the overall scoring. Although Chrome did come in first place for Tab Loading, Java-Script, and Memory use without extensions, it was disappointing to see Chrome 11 Dev Version lose to Chrome 10.
