Hands-on: Acer C720P Chromebook [VIDEO]

We have been going all around CES looking for Chrome goodies and Acer was one of the first stops we had to make. We got to play around with the all-new Acer C720P Chromebook and it actually works like a charm!

As expected, this is pretty much a C720, but with touchscreen capabilities. This is a very important device, as it is the very first affordable Chromebook with a touchscreen. At $300, it’s much easier to swallow its price compared to the $1,300 Chromebook Pixel.

Those looking for an affordable Chromebook with a touchscreen will go with an Acer C720P. It’s also important to mention it’s available in two colors: white and black. The white one was recently announced and it’s the one we got to test.

Check out our hands-on video, gallery and announcement post for more details. The device will be out early this month for $300, just like the black version. What do you guys say? Is the first affordable touchscreen Chromebook convincing enough for you?

Edgar. please tell me the benefits of touch screen laptops.I not trying to be a prick..I am being serious…I was at Best Buy last night and I had both C720s side by side. I felt that while I was typing having to pick up my hand..touch the screen, then bring my hand back to the keyboard took longer than just using the mouse pad…also I noticed my fingerprints on the screen..please tell me why I should pay 300 for the 300 for this device..i want to get a chrome book…but I am very cautious about which one to get..there are many to chose from..thanx
