AllCast developer demos Spotify screen mirroring to Chromespot

Koushik Dutta, developer of AllCast, has really been juicing his upcoming feature – Android screen mirroring to Chromecast. This is a very highly-demanded feature among Chromecast and Android users, so it only makes sense that he wants to show off some cool previews before the feature is released.

Today we have a new teaser from Koushik Dutta in the form of a video (yes, another one). As you can see above, he is showing off how Spotify works when mirroring from an Android smartphone to Chromecast.

It looks like it has very smooth performance. As expected, there is a slight delay, but video and audio are paired, which is really what matters. We can always expect a slight delay in wireless screen mirroring – that’s just a given in today’s technology.

I have to say I can’t wait to see this feature rolling out. It will make the $35 Chromecast even more worth its price. I paid $100 for an Apple TV just to be able to mirror a mobile device’s screen. I also know a lot of people who have done the same, so the demand is there!

something tells me Google is going to hire Koushik…….

Actually, they’ve talked to him a few times, but he’s stuck with Cyanogen. I don’t think he’ll be joining El Goog unless they acquire Cyanogen.
