There is a personalization function in Windows 7 (most probably Vista too) that enlarges text and items on the screen. This can be found in Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Display. Icons, menus, windows, and other applications are made larger by this, by either 125% or 150%. What does not get enlarged, however, are webpages in Chrome. I noticed Internet Explorer does comply with this. Previously I've been using zoom for this, but it's not practical since it cannot be set outside of one website, and sometimes embedded items don't work with it. If Chrome could somehow detect the size at which the system is set, I would not have to read my webpages in a tiny font.
There was also a feature someone else suggested, which is to be able to stop or disable animated GIF images.
