ScrapBook is my one and only requirement for a Browser now (now that Tabs are a standard feature).

I like to save locally web pages, data, and submitted forms relevant to my current home "projects" or purchases. Also I index them via Copernic running against a network drive.

I like the ScrapBook file/metadata organization as well ...
    ScrapBook\data\20080428004933\index.html
    and
    ScrapBook\data\20080428004933\index.dat >>>

    id 20080428004933
    type
    title <title>
    chars UTF-8
    icon favicon.ico
    source http://www.<addr>
    comment
    <<<

... can easily mine/ integrate into a central searchable metadata of my digital life

(scrapbooking this as i post ..)

That seems like something Google could easily implement and something that will definitely add to the functionality of Chrome, so I wouldn't be surprised to see this added soon.

Not used scrapbook myself, but I do use Google Notebook. (Doesn&#39;t seem to do all the same stuff though.)
I guess they might try and tie that in to the browser at some point,

Firefox 3.0 was slower than chrome. Firefox 3.5 is catching up with chrome in speed. I'm still using firefox and not chrome as chrome doesn't have scrapbook. Meanwhile my scrapbook collection is grooowwwwiinnnnnnggggg.....

    Try "snippy" :

"Snippy allows you to grab snippets of web pages and save them for future use.

Snippy capture rich contents and preserves formatting, so you can capture paragraphs, images, links and more...."
