Firefox has a couple extensions that I find very essential for my needs.

The first and most used extension in my add-ons is FireFTP.
I hope that someone will eventually create something similar for Chrome.

The other being FireBug, which I use quite a bit.
A very similar extension from microsoft is the dev toolkit for IE.

Yeah, I'm sure it'll be quite a while before we see any real extensions made.
I'm just putting it here while it was in my head. I may forget later.

And I stilll use FireFTP, so no rush.
