    I found a workaround. It's posted HERE. It worked just fine for me.

    Download the JRE package via the link in the article.

    Go to www.java.com and search for update 10. It works for me, but it is still in beta.

    The plugin I posted didn't work? restart and if that does not work, try unchecking the phishing option under the hood.

    I installed Java 6 Update 10 and I still cannot play Java games through Google Chrome. I know that it's properly installed because it's listed under add/remove and I also went into Control Panel -> Java -> Java tab and unchecked Java 6 Update 7 from the list of usable Java versions. Java 6 Update 10 was listed there and checked to be used. I then went to Internet Explorer 7 and went to play Java games at the same site using Java 6 Update 10 and it worked properly. Please help me! Thank you!

    P.S. I closed Google Chrome and reopened it with no luck either.
