Default how do you know when an extension is updated?

do you get notified somehow, or is it up to 'you' to check back at the extension page for a new version?

You should get notified, if not it also wouldn't hurt if you check back on the extension page from time to time.
Don't be Afraid to go into the UNKNOWN "WHERE have i Heard that Before?"

    Actually I don't think that's true.

As far as I know, there is NO notification when extensions are updated.

Some extensions will display an update info page after updating, but that's because the extension author specifically included special checking himself to display that page.

Otherwise, I don't think Chrome displays anything when extensions are updated.

bummer. surprised that's not a feature. i know chrome is minimalistic for the most part, but i thought they would at least include something as common & useful as that.

    fyi to future onlookers:

at least in the chrome i run (7.0.503.1 (Official Build 57041) dev), the extensions that get updated auto notify you upon a new version. it's as simple as saying "re-enable & install new vers". glad to see this. made me very happy
