Spyware and Google Chrome

Hi Folks,
Lately I've been at war with Malware and Spyware.
Is there any concerted effort develop anything in the way of an app, plug-in, or extension for Google Chrome to deal with this??
I have used Spybot Search & Destroy for years, and have always had good results in receiving early warnings in Firefox and IE.
Lately I've had some system slowdown incidents and (in my case) I've learned to run Spybot and it usually finds the problems, which point to their origins being from G. Chrome allowing their entrance to the system.
I'll be writing to Safer Network, Ltd. (Spybot) as well, but wanted to see what's being done here, too.

Uhhhh.... O.K. .... good job of quoting me here....
Actually, I've found "Click & Clean" which very nicely expands the capabilities of "delete all stored files (history, passwords, etc.) on exit". This has indeed solved my problem!
