Default Greasemetal - The Greasemonkey of Chrome

Greasemetal is a userscript runtime for Google Chrome. The runtime hosts userscripts (tiny javascript files that modify the webpages being displayed) to be executed on Google Chrome, similar to what Greasemonkey does for Mozilla Firefox, or Greasekit does for Safari.

    Usage:

    1. To start using Greasemetal, download and execute the installer.
    2. After installation, launch Greasemetal from the start menu. Greasemetal will in turn start up Google Chrome, while hooking its behaviours to insert userscripts.
    3. Once you have started running Greasemetal, add userscripts to the userjs directory under your My Documents folder.

Unfortunately this didn't work with two scripts (one of them is http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/13131) I tried. Anyone else having luck with this?

Well, I tried it. It caused Chrome to freeze on certain sites and also kept on giving me error messages. I'll try it again when the major bug(s) have been fixed.

    GreaseMetal version: 0.1
    Google Chrome version: 0.2.149.29

Problem: I'm getting a lot of errors that state "Uncaught TypeError: Cannot call method 'SetAutomationId' of undefinded" (you can see them if you were to right click on any part of a website, select Inspect element and then click on the stop sign in the lower right hand corner). I also get a whole bunch of errors in its debug log (which I've attached).

So, has anyone gotten any scripts to work using it and if so, what are they?

v0.2 is now out. It stops the debug log from being created, stops the Inspect Element window's console from being filled with errors, adds support for some of GreaseMonkey's commands, and changes the directory to put the UserJS into to \Program Files\Greasemetal\userjs.

Some scripts don't work at all. Some work ... sometimes. But they're rather slow to kick in compared to Firefox/Greasemonkey. Anyway, it's a good start.

BTW, if I understood this correctly, when you want to use the scripts, you must close Chrome and start Greasemetal. Greasemetal will start Chrome for you. And I think you have to close Chrome and Greasemetal and start Greasemetal again every time you add a new script.

But it still creates also a userjs directory in My Documents. So this is very confusing. Where are we supposed to add the scripts ?

According to the developer, scripts can go in either that folder or to the one that's in My Documents.

I can play Travian perfectly fine in my Chrome browser. Do you mean putting in Graphic Packs? If you are, then yes, I have the same problem as you.
