No way!!! ReallyI had sworn that I would never upgrade again after the disaster of Vista. I spent a holy fortune buying Vista and was sorely disappointed. Are you saying that Windows 7 is faster than XP? I might give it a try if I can still get the free version. Just how old is your notebook? I have a laptop and a netbook (both purchased this year, so fairly new). The laptop is running on Vista Home Premium and the netbook is running on XP.
Any additional comments on Windows 7 would be appreciated.
Sorry for jumping in when I'm really not asking about Chrome but I couldn't resist when I saw your post.
my notebook is more than 5 years old :-)
booting up and shutting down Win 7 is definitely faster than WinXP
yes its true, Vista is pretty far from window 7 when talking about performance and even in user interface, the interface is not really far from vista, but on the internal side, its way toooooo far. "Window 7 is look like a vista but runs like XP", so better upgrade in window 7, for sure.

If you feel like being adventurous, you can try to hack the resources in chrome.pak for Linux (and Mac) Chrome.
