erm what? no offence but it actually doesn't people spam for the sake of spamming not for postcount
Charlie is a bot etc but hes sexy
Posts=amount of time here and replying or such so I see how one thinks this way. Quality over quantity.
I've run several forum communities and have tracked post counts with Post Counting on and off. When you turn post counting off, the number of posts drops quite a bit. You can disagree if you like, but it is something that I have tested and know for a fact it has a positive impact.
Other indicators, like the stars, works as a decent indicator, but someone could have 500 posts and provide no useful information while another person could have 30 post and each of them be helpful. Who is providing more to the community?
depends if its general interest and rather comical then its fine
moot point. waste of thread.![]()
anyway people would still know post count by checking profile unless you intent to make every board not contribute towards post count
It's pretty easy to edit out the code that shows post counts everywhere they are visibly shown while still keeping track to apply starts if they are felt to be needed.
