Update tabs for any page

i have an idea that would be useful.

I am not sure if this is possible or if it even has been done before in other browsers.

Sites like gmail and g reader etc ... When you have them open in a tab will auto update to the new messages things u have to read.

Would it be possible to take a part of a website that already auto refreshes its information and drag that information into the tab heading.

or if the website uses rss just have that rss info dragged into the tab and it would show you how many new things u have for that tab

any feedback would apprecaited

like my main example is sports scores
is something like this

my main concern would be that since its flash that wouldn't be possible

I believe there is an add-on in FireFox that allows users to set a certain tab to auto-refresh every x amount of seconds/minutes, and I definitely see how this would be useful.
