Default Google's EULA for chrome says the internet belongs to them. Will you uninstall?

i too was extremely excited about chrome, as i truly do like google as a company. and while it is still lacking much, i believe it has much more room to grow and evolve.

however, due to the context of the following link, i find myself repulsed by the ToS that google has attached to chrome and am currently uninstalling it, as do some of my friends, leaving them a message that this is the reason that i am not planning to use their browser until they change the EULA.

and here is the link: http://tapthehive.com/discuss/This_P...e_s_EULA_Sucks

i think that it is not a trivial subject, and that we need to stand up to them as a community so that they will understand their mistake as fast as possible.

i would rather have google be who they're pretending to be, rather than them pretending to be something they're not, then in a few years when they control even more than just net traffic(and they're getting there, believe me), reveal their true skin and suddenly people say "wow, google is just like ms or apple"

google don't own the internet, they dominate the way we look for content on it. owning the internet is what net neutrality are fighting against. and if you don't get the picture, try going to www.weownthenet.org

i wouldnt even mind if google did own the internet sure there would be a few more ads here and there but so what? and if the net isn't owned by someone why do you have to pay to have a website? contradictory? i think so

you don't pay "the owner of the internet" you are paying one of many service providers to give you services that believe it or not, take work to achieve.

and no matter how good a company may seem(and as far as google goes, no one REALLY knows what they're about, god(or whatever deity you happen to believe in) saves our souls if the conspiracy theorists are anywhere near the truth), if they amass enough power, they will start using it in ways that might not benefit the world. it is that sort of "oh, who cares, it's not gonna mean anything" that sets the first few steps in much bigger processes.
if you think that chrome is an amazing browser, you're far off.
i think it has amazing potential, but it's in EARLY beta. it's the freakin' first day. it lacks so much that even IE has more to offer(while i do not try to say that IE is a good application).
most people, unaware of this issue are going to give it some time to bake.
the idea is, while we're waiting, let google know that we are NOT happy with such statements. regardless of what they say it does or doesn't mean.
it doesn't even cost you anything, you can send such feedback without stopping to use the application.
