    If they can do a better price than Windows netbooks this will kickoff a new OS.

    I don't know... Doesn't look like it's a real Google version.. BTW, why would they preinstall Firefox on it if they have Chrome??


    EDIT: It isn't even made by Google.. If you read the about page, its a modified version of the Linux OS. And gOS doesn't stand for the Google OS, it stands for Good OS.

    Google Chrome OS is actually using Linux Ubuntu. Good question but I really don't see why not allowing the end user a choice?

    Okay did some digging and this seems to be ubuntu with the GoS addon as google has yet to make a public download and is only going to issue it to third parties that make netbooks etc.... I am sure the download link provided is the same though in a sense.
