Do you think Chrome OS will ONLY be bundled with notebooks? Will it ONLY work on notebooks?
Thoughts please.

My guess would be that Google would try to deploy first the Chrome OS on the netbooks. The netbooks are typically used for internet access only and are sold for much lower prices than the laptops and normal computers. It is a perfect place for Google to come with innovative (webcentric) OS as Microsoft can't compete well in this segment as it requires much lower price points than Microsoft currently charges for a Windows license.
I believe you are correct JohnS.
I agree that it's likely to be netbook-focused at first, but with so many older laptops out there that couldn't handle 7 or even XP well (I speak from experience) I hope that it can be released as a stand-alone installation, like any other Linux distro
i am confused about it... Google chrome is a browser.... i know it but is Google Chrome also Operating system?

Chrome OS is the operating system using Google Chrome as the browser

I think the Chrome OS is a brilliant step by Google and it will work only on netbooks for now, in order for the Chrome OS to maintain its reputation for speed. The chrome OS will boot in 8 seconds and since it is optimized for the web, browsing will be a breeze. I think it will concentrate on this, for now.
Chrome OS is a computer model designed with various form factors in mind, but Google is entirely focused on the notebook form factor for now. Google has no other plans at this time as per Sundar Pichai, Google VP for Chrome. He further said that the number of Chrome users doubled over the last year to 160 million.
