Google Chrome OS better than Linux?

What do you think? Will Ubuntu remain the most populair Linux distribution or will Chrome OS after its release quickly overtake Ubuntu?

Chrome OS needs plenty of catching up with Ubuntu;

would there be support for Chrome OS ?

take a look at the Chrome browser. what do the developers hope to achieve ?

moving users from other browsers to use Chrome ? a very difficult task instead ...

We all knew it of course: Google Chrome OS is in fact a Linux distribution with all the stuff Google build (Google Gears, Google Chrome browser) and tight integration with the Google web apps.

Even though I'm quite excited about the whole concept, and will definetely be one of first who will buy a netbook with Chrome OS. Linux alone did never convince me to leave the windows platform but Linux + all the Google apps seems to be a much more attractive proposition for me.
