chrome closes internet connection

hi,
i am having troubles as soon i start chrome browser.

- I work with my office computer and connected to VPN and have some
VNC sessions and intranet apps opened.
- Launch chrome.
- open mail.google.com
- open some more intranet websites
- come back and click 'compose' in gmail
- gmail keeps on looping saying .Trying.. Retrying.. OOps connection lost.. etc
- I see that my VNC sessions are now not responding
- Internet(home wireless) is disconnecting and connecting.. flickering a lot
- System gets busy
- Chrome gets busy and no other web pages load(always timesout)

If i dont open chrome and use firefox then things are fine and my office
VPN and internet are fine and responds well

Do you know where the issue is and how to fix

I have had a similar problem when I installed Xchrome or a currupted theme. Reinstalling Google Chrome fixed it for me.
