actually I m pasted to "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\Application\4.0.249.78\Themes" as direct but not be :\

what does the file do? is it no longer in use?

The default.dll files were the old, non-standard way to do themeing in Chrome, but that method does not work anymore because Chrome no longer uses the default.dll file.

If you want to apply different themes for Chrome, you need to use the current CRX type themes.
