Thats very strange... so you ran "yourthemenamehere.exe" and it added it to the Xchrome theme manager.
then you click "install theme" inside the them manager and it did that?
can you take me step by step and i will try to duplicate it.

I ran mytheme.exe (saw it show up in the list)
then just closed Xchrome (didn't click install)
Before I did that, I had a working theme.
ok i just managed to duplicate your problem, ill get onto it mate
right, if you have XChrome installed then when you run your theme it doesn't actuly install the theme, in the manager you will have to click install again, I will make it so that in the future it actuly installs and it adds to the theme manager aswell
I just tried to duplicate the issue using another theme.
1. Downloaded theme and ran it
2. Clicked Install Theme and OK on the theme installed bit
3. Then just closed the manager
My theme was still intact.
I think the issue may have been, that the first time I tried to install the theme, Chrome was running and it may have corrupted the default.dll (as the file was still there)
Not real sure though.
Thanks, keep up the great work!
This is a bit off topic but that red window without theme applied, reminded me, and maybe someone might know, the question is...
Does anyone know why Chrome.exe fails when "default.dll.2.config" is created in the theme's directory?

Very odd indeed.
this problem only seems to occour if you actully have the main Xchrome theme manager installed.
im looking into the cause, but the weird thing is that if you have Xchrome installed it shouldnt even touch the .dll unless you click install theme in the manager lol!
I have fixed the problem and will most likely release it in about 8-12 hours with some other minor bits and bobs![]()
