    Default Viewing web page prompts an image save

    How do I prevent this from happening? It isn't consistent - just random pages will sometimes bring a box on the screen asking to save the graphic.

    Default here...

    Here's one, although when I tried it just now it didn't do it.

    http://wpcomics.washingtonpost.com/client/wpc/co/

    I read this site daily for my comics "fix" and it is from several of the comics links on this page that I run into the situation. Some of the links won't even work, although they are fine when running IE.

    Sorry - I'm not very good when trying to describe computer issues! Any idea what makes it happen or how to make it stop?? Did you see how some of the comics links won't load?

    I believe that either the cookie monster or ads monster is playing :-)

    does this happen only in Chrome and do you use other browsers ?

    It only happens when using Chrome. When I use IE I don't have the problems...

    try not to clear the cache or history of Chrome;

    visit the sites and see whether other tabs open when you click them

    continue for at least 3 days;

    on the 4th day, before visiting the same sites, clear the cache and then visit the sites

    does a new tab opens ? if it does, it means that the original sites are redirecting the browser to another site
