does anyone know how to get the realplayer download recording to work with google chrome 10? so you can download video's from youtube .

The Real Networks site has the following message in its support section:
Chrome 10: Download This Video is not currently working on Google Chrome 10; we expect to resolve this in the mid-April release of RealPlayer.
