Default Weird white box/random youtube video 1/4 of screen

Google Chrome version: 4.1.249.1045 unknown (4289
Operating System: windows vista 32 bit
    Extensions installed: none

After I cleared out my cache/cookies in chrome for the first time, a strange thing happened when I visited sites with videos on it. For example, on one site, a youtube video that is somewhere on the page appears in the upper left hand corner taking up almost 1/4th of the screen. I couldn't find anyway to get rid of it. Then on youtube itself, whenever I click on a video, a white box appears covering the middle of the screen. I'm not sure what's causing it. Also, for some sites, it seems where a flash thing would be it's just a black box. The three pictures below are examples of what I'm seeing.

Thanks in advance for the help.

    Default Fix

I know this is old but I'm posting it here because it's the second result I got from a Google search (the first being a closed Yahoo Q&A).

Go to the Chrome options, Under the Hood, Privacy, Clear Browsing Data. While you are there both Clear Browsing Data and "Delete All Sites" from the "Adobe Flash Player Storage Settings" at the bottom.

Download and run CCleaner. Make sure in the application tab that everything under "Google Chrome" is checked except "Saved Form Data". Make sure ALL web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Google Chrome, Mozilla, Netscape...) windows are closed. Run the cleaner. Click Registry on the left and run that cleaner.

This will fix 90% of all problems in any web browser.

This worked for me and I hope it helps you!
