Default Chrome Never Loads, Crashes on reinstall!

I have the newest version of Google Chrome with no extensions installed. As of yesterday everytime I try to open Chrome it simply stays blank. No error message, no anything. My bookmarks page won't even load the circle at the top just keeps constantly cycling as if it was loading but nothing ever loads. If I type in a web page such as google.com nothing happens and eventually I'll get a message asking me to kill that tab or to wait.

All of my other browsers work fine I just prefer to use Chrome.

    What I've done:

I've scoured the forums and read stuff for hours to no avail.
    I tried restarting...didn't work.
    I tried an uninstall/reinstall didn't work.
I ran disk clean-up, disk defragment, and checked my msconfig for anything out of the ordinary in startup and services and it seemed ok.
I system restored to a few days ago when it worked fine...still doesn't work.
I don't have any of the progams on that list of problem causers.
I tried moving my user data out of the original folder and just placing it on the chrome folder as "backup"...didn't work.

Everytime I uninstall/reinstall after I check yes to all the options such as make default browser and such then click "start chrome" it brings chrome up and then i get the "Whoa! Chrome has crashed!" message. But that is the only time i get it. Every other time it just stays blank.

What i was doing the day it quit working:

I was downloading a CBR file...a comic I wanted to read.
I also uploaded about 15 gigs worth of movies and tv shows onto my computer via a flash drive for temporary storage since my xd get scratched up really bad and i threw it away and am waiting on the new one in the mail.

It worked fine all day until about the time i was doing the above mentioned things...they were going on pretty much simultaneously so I dunno which caused it but either would be my guest...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

    Emily

    Default

    Hi

I'm having the same problem with a friends computer.
I did all the things you have mentioned with the same results, crashing after install etc.

There is an answer in this post....

Chrome won't load any web pages

Locate your Chrome executable and ad a space then "-no-sandbox" after it.

I can't tell you if it works or not since I haven't gotten over there to try it but it's the only thing I have found so far.

If you try it I would like to know your results.

    Mike
