Shockwave Player crashes CONSTANTLY

I am constantly seeing:

The following plug-in has crashed: Shockwave Flash

It does not matter the site I am on I will get this until it crash and if I close out of the browser and open it again it will work until it crashes again.





System Information:

Windows 7 Home Premium x64

Google Chrome: 5.0.375.86

Shockwave 11.5.7.609


What is the issue and how do I fix this. I have been having this issue since version 4.1.249.1045 and they have all been stable releases that I have used.

This happened to me for the first time last week - I have not seen it again, so presume it's working fine.

I downloaded Chrome at the beginning of last year - but I guess I'm supposed to download always the latest version - would that be right?

I wondered too, if I can still run IE but not at the same time as I have Chrome open - possibly this is in the wrong thread, for which I apologize .,

My google-trauma is deeply rooted in just such behavior by the chariot upon which I cruise the information superhighway...YET! I refuse to buckle to the "Old Guard" and abandon my sleek, nimble, 959 porsche-browser - Google Chrome to all those who merely engage as "spectators." But, seriously, I share with the above folks the spirit if not the letter of this subsection of Murphy's Law. There must be a Cyber-Hero out there just chompin at the "bit" (bwah-ha!) to unleash a violent algorithmic symphony aimed at solving this dilemma.
