Chrome not showing text over image

I have a home page online which I alter occasionally.
I know it is very amateur but I have tried to add some links to other sites I am interested in.
They are
RSPB
YWT
NWT
Wild About Britain web site.
When you roll the mouse over them I wanted them to display the full name of the site.
The RSPB does show something but not the text I added.
The others do not show anything.
The annoying thing is if I use IE9 they all show the title of the image which would be fine but it does not happen in Chrome.
Anyone any ideas as to how to fix this.

No worries I have sorted it myself.
just had to replace "alt=" in the html code with "title" and then it shows in chrome as well.
