I have my taskbar auto hide.
(I've got Vista Home.)
Google Chrome: best browser ever.
Apart from a minor problem: where my taskbar?
When I put my mouse to the bottom of the screen, it doesn't appear?
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks.

Try running Google Chrome without having it maximized. Resize it to leave room below it for your taskbar to open.
You could hit the Windows key on your keyboard to get the Start menu to popup which will also display the taskbar. (If you don't have a Windows key, you can use Ctrl+Esc to do the same thing.)
thanks for the replies
i did a bit of research after posting my question
and it seems the bug i described is a well known bug in chrome
i think its crazy - how could they leave such a flaw in??

are u having a laugh or what??
whats the point of having autohide!!?
i might as well have the taskbar stay on top!

yes can do: but bad design if u force the user to do this.
First of all check your taskbar settings, by doing a properties over it, make sure the option for "keep the taskbar on top of other windows" is set along with your Autohide option being checked.
If they are, uncheck both options apply then recheck them and reapply. It may help.
I know it may not be consoling to you but maxmize and hidden taskbar works nicely on both My Vista and XP machines.
Yeah, sadly this problem seems to be a hit-or-miss for its fixability. There have been a few who were not able to fix it, even after going through every idea we shot their way (they were Vista users - not sure which version of Chrome or Vista).Originally Posted by Nofoilrequired
