Default What Anti-Virus do you use?

I used McAfee but after hearing many co-workers crap on it, I was recommended ESET NOD32 which many people said was "the jam diggity".

    For our over-30 members:
"the jam diggity" = very good

I downloaded and installed NOD32 and will pay for it once my 30 day trial is up. The $50 annual subscription or whatever is well worth my piece of mind and security.

    How about you?

NOD32 is a really good virus scanner. However, I use Kaspersky.

Norton is installed on this computer, but when the subscription is up, at the end of the month, I'll probably move to Kaspersky.

Avira Antivir, it's free, easy to use and detects anything! I can recommend it for everyone.

Avast, backed up with malwarebytes antimalware. I think AVG, Avira and Avast are the best of the freebies for real time scanning services, theres a regular poll somewhere giving in-depth comparisons and these three tend to nose ahead of each other for the lead.

I used to have Nod32, payed for, I liked the speed and efficiency (I think a lot of the coding is assembler for Nod32), but it once let through an email with a nasty payload which should have been spotted, it wasn't an in the wild new nasty, so I dropped it. Cant really judge though, these things change efficiency/engines as fast as adapting to all the new malware out there, I keep meaning to have another look at Nod32.

Out of the paid fors I think Bill is going for the best one right now. Kaspersky that is, not Norton. (@Bill - I know someone recently dropped Norton who paid direct debit, one year after he was automatically charged for another subscription.. keep an eye out for that if you have paid dd, their arse doesnt know what their elbow's doing ).

I'm using BitDeffender Internet Security antyvir, firewall, antyspy/malwere and stuff. Little bit of resource hog, but bit the crap out of Nod32.
