Dream Jobs

I know some folks who work a Google and It sounds like an awesome place for people with the right combination of imagination, work ethic and social skills.

I'm currently between jobs, but next week I have been invited to a foreign country to inspect the facilities of a company that I submitted my resume to. I'm quite excited about this prospect as it is not just a well paying job, but it is in a country I have never been to, and I'll be working directly under someone I know from an internet forum.

Some people are saying that the internet is all scams, and I did have some reservations about being hired by someone from an internet forum, but things are all looking great with the company paying for transportation and accommodations while I am in the country.

Without going into too much detail that could be considered private, Imagine a company like Black Mesa in the HalfLife games, I'd be working next door to the Anomalous Materials Lab. (Geek cool factor +++)

So, what are your dream job(s), and how does the job you are currently doing compare to your dreams?

In all seriousness my dream job would be one where I could participate with a group of people and make an incredible game. One that really shines, not in the graphics department but in the fun-factor.

I'm going to achieve just that.

mmmm my dream job.... here in Uruguay we are one of the most world-wide software exporters. i just want my actually job (soft developer) with more paid :P

dream job would be in a ship with a female crew jeje. I love space and i don't want to be without companionship so there.

Real job... I guess something in networking. I graduated a year and a half ago and have only been on the edge in terms of computer knowledge requirements. I just ended a 1 year tech support job and hopefully i'll be able to find something in networking for a noob.

You should talk with Illiad over on the UserFriendly forum (http://ars.userfriendly.org/cartoons) he use to work for Corrections Canada before becoming a cartoonist. He has some interesting(and some disturbing) stories about prison life.
